I usually fish in the morning and evening. 12-13ft rods will cast the best. The ugly stick rods are very whippy, they don’t cast the best.

hey dude what hours do you regularly head out to the surf? I never see any people swimming or even hanging out there. Just want to go and surf fish myself. I have a 10 foot ugly stick and a 12 footer, is that good enough to cast? If I didn’t metion I’m new to the Sunshine State.

It does get busy when the schools of fish pile up on the beach. You might see 100 people fishing on the beach.

Do many people surf fish out where you are. The beach always looks so empty? I can’t imagine how nice that would be.
